On June 26, 2009, at President Obama's request, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Waxman-Markey climate bill, better known as Cap and Trade.
They also named it"American Clean Energy and Security Act" so we'd think it's good.
It would force power companies and others who use fossil fuel to pay a series of federal fines for emitting "too much" carbon dioxide (CO2).
Who decides how much is too much ? The Federal government, of course !
And how will theyknow if some company is emitting "too much" CO2 ?
By employing EPA bureaucrats to crawl over our nation, measuring everybody's fuel usage!
It's virtually a big new tax on all Americans ! The U.S. Senate hasn't voted on this yet, so we can still stop it... Call your two Senators at (202) 224-3121 and say No to Cap & Trade!
